Water Levels Rising

I wrote to you a couple weeks ago with the news that the water levels at the reservoir would rise. We knew for some time this would be the case but we could only confirm it when Seven Trent engaged in discussions.

The contractors have now returned on site to set up the compound and work commences on Monday 13th October 2025. The works are planned to last on site for 18 months.

Conversations with Seven Trent have continued at pace, and in recent weeks we have met in person several times to discuss the impact on our Club site. Part of these meetings have been to help Seven Trent understand our needs, how we operate and how our significant assets need protecting. We are now awaiting the next steps which includes designers and structural engineers to suggest a mutually agreeable way forward. Once these suggested solutions have been agreed then works can be planned and a lease negotiation recommenced, and you will keep you updated.

I have undertaken several lease negotiations in my time on the committee and certainly did not envisage it happening again! The staff and committee are working hard during these negotiations to make sure all Club members and parties are considered.
