Annual General Meeting
The Club’s AGM was held on 9^th November with over 50 members present in person.

The report presented by the Committee can be found on the Club website and contains a review of the past year and details of the Club’s new Development Plan which members may find interesting.

There are two key issues facing the Club which we would appreciate all members considering whether they can contribute to:

Club Committee
The size of the Club Committee has decreased by 1 a year since 2012. At the AGM only 5 members stood for the Committee. At the current rate of decline, the Committee will have no members in 2021, but the Club would obviously have to close before this time if this trend continues.

We urgently need new volunteers for the Committee. There are some areas of expertise which would be especially welcome (property, finance and legal), but anyone who is prepared to put the time in, take responsibility and work as part of a successful team should consider offering to join the Committee.

It is enormously satisfying work, putting something back into your Club, and it is very gratifying to hear the positive comments from members and visitors about the improvements in the Club over recent years.

Club Development Plan
Many are not willing to commit to the obligations of being on the Committee, but there are other ways you can contribute to your Club.

We need help progressing the Development Plan which has 3 activities which are ideal for focussed, short term contributions:

1. Membership: Reviewing structure, timing & terms; identifying, targeting & offering opportunities; developing an annual marketing plan; assessing staff requirements to deliver this.
2. Commercial Income: Identifying opportunities; developing a plan; assessing staff requirements; setting up a separate trading subsidiary.
3. Lease & Site: Put together plan for development of activity on site; negotiate this & lease extension with Severn Trent

If you would like to offer your services, either on the Committee or helping with the Development Plan, please get in touch with Jeremy Atkins (Commodore), Dave Rowe (Club Manager) or any other member of the Committee.

Club Christmas Party

All the preparations are being made for our annual Club Christmas Party.  It’s set to be lots of fun for the grown ups as well as the children.  To get you in the festive spirit we will have ‘Steve the Magician’ here to entertain us all with his magic show and balloon making and there will be a very special visit from Father Christmas.  We will also have mince pies and mulled wine available with the bar open too.

Please collect your tickets from the Waterside Reception /shop and provide us with what food you would like to bring on a plate for the children.   This will help us make sure we have enough food for all the children on the day to eat.

Also, don’t forget to bring a present worth up to £10 on the day, all wrapped and clearly labelled for Father Christmas.

Sun 1^st Jan               Pursuit Race: datum: 1.30pm (no club racing just pursuit)
