As you will know its remembrance day on Sunday and therefore we will as per normal be doing two minutes silence at 11am. This will mean that we will be postponing the first race until after this and it will start as soon as possible after the two minutes. Can I ask you please to remind your fleets and ask them to be boat rigged and ready to go as soon as we finish.

In the mean time for those keen beans out there we will be running a mass start W/L race at 10:15am for 20-30 minutes so we don’t lose any sailing time with this arrangement. This is not a formal race just a bit of fun for those keen to maximise their time on the Sunday morning as a 11am start is late for many. Therefore can I ask you to tell your fleets that this is being done if they want a pre-race practice! A sign on/off sheet will be provided as per usual for safety and (if the forecast holds for a easterly) it will be run from the committee boat on the pontoon or near the shore so people can watch if they wish – although participation would be better!!!.
