About Us

Club History

In 1968, a small group of people led by Sir Charles Barratt had the vision of a sailing club on the newly built reservoir.

A year later, and with still only a little water in the reservoir, Draycote Water Sailing Club came into being and welcomed the first members.

Staff & Committee

Our team of paid staff work tirelessly to ensure the Club is run successfully on a day-to-day basis, and are on hand to help our members.

Our Committee team are Club members who volunteer their time to ensure the Club as a whole is ever evolving with a clear direction for the future.

At Draycote Water we take our Club’s Safety, Health and Environmental Responsibilities seriously to ensure our members, staff, guests and the public fulfill their legal and moral obligations.
