The Fireball is a two-person, single trapeze dinghy providing fast and exhilarating racing at Draycote. This flat-bottomed scow is so stable on the water it can easily be sailed by a relative novice with little experience. The rig is easily adjusted allowing the boat to be sailed by crews of all sizes and abilities.
We mostly sail White Winders – an epoxy foam sandwich hull devoid of wood that requires minimum maintenance.
The fleet has a wide range of abilities and we would welcome any newcomers be they hotshots or newbies. You’ll find somebody of similar ability here. There is a fleet Fireball for hire so you can have a taste of Draycote Fireball sailing if you’d like to try before you buy.
