Events in January
The weekends have been particularly busy in January with two weekends of 29er training , the Sprint 15 open and the Warwick Turtle.

Off the water we held a Club Development Meeting on Saturday 7th January where members and staff had an opportunity to get involved with ideas on how to help the club develop and progress in the future.  A total of 21 people came and lots of ideas, suggestions and action points came from the meeting.  Further meetings have and will be scheduled to progress some of the ideas with overall approval from the General Committee.

January has also been a time when we have had to say goodbye to some great staff members.  Andy Felthouse has hung up his boots as one of our bosuns and is on his way to a new life in glorious France with his partner Jan.  We wish you all the very best and thank you for your work here at the Club over the last year.

And, we say farewell to Lydia one of our long standing members of bar staff.  Thank you Lydia for all your work here at Draycote and we all wish you well for the future.

Membership Renewals
Just in case you hadn’t noticed, the days are getting longer and it’s time to start planning your sailing at the club this year (except for those stalwarts who have carried on sailing through the winter!).  This also means that it’s the time of year when your membership renews (1st April). This year, though, after bedding in the WebCollect system last year, the experience should be as easy as capsizing in a F5.

For the majority of our members, those paying by monthly or annual direct debit, there will be nothing to do at all as payments will automatically be taken at the new rate agreed at the AGM. Others will have to set up a one-off payment as usual.

Full details will be sent out in next month’s Mailchimp (beginning of March).

The one thing everyone will be asked to do is come into the shop during April to have your cards and fobs “refreshed” so they are all up to date.
