HELP PROMOTE THE CLUB IN JULY
There are two opportunities which are coming up in July for us to promote our Club at local events and we are looking for a few volunteers to help with these.
Thursday 21st July – Queen’s Baton Relay
In the lead up to the Commonwealth Games, the Queen’s Baton Relay will visit Rugby at a Festival of Sport in Caldecott Park. We have been asked to have a presence to promote our Club and, as Rugby Borough Sports Club of the Year, we feel it is important to be flying the flag.
There will be free entertainment and activities and we will have a gazebo & displays and we need a few people to man the stand from 2pm to 5pm.
Saturday 30th , Sunday 31st July – Severn Trent Open Day
Severn Trent are organising a weekend of sports and fun for the Commonwealth Games in the Country Park. There will be a big screen broadcasting the Commonwealth Games, retro sports games to try and a chance to meet, greet and compete with local sports clubs, including Draycote Water Sailing Club.
Again, we will have a gazebo & displays and we need people to man the stand from 12pm to 4pm each day (possibly in two shifts: 12-2, 2-4).

Feva Inlands
Excellent results from the recent RS Feva Inland Champs/last leg of the Grand Prix series with 3 Draycote crews in the top 5, including first and second place. Well done to all who took part. Read the full report and results.
Summer Events
There are quite a few events happening over the summer that our members are travelling to including the RS Games, Topper Worlds and Fireball Worlds. Wishing everyone the best of luck and fair winds.
Junior Summer Courses
Summer sailing courses start from 18th July with a variety of courses for all levels. If you have friends & family’s children looking to learn to sail or needing a summer activity, let them know as spaces are filling up quickly now.
