All Members are welcome to come to our AGM. It’s a great time to hear how the Club is shaping up and about plans for the future. Papers and accounts were emailed out to Members last week.

Trailer Park Work
Work has started to tidy up and sort out the trailer park. It’s been strimmed and any trailers removed that are rusted or just painted metal.
There are still trailers there with no tags that are clearly not scrap. Please urgently check yours to make sure it’s tagged as we really need to have them all identified.
Pop in to the shop/waterside reception for your tag asap please!
Draycote Dash
Yes, it’s that time again! We’re looking for people to help out at the Draycote Dash on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November.
As you probably know, there are a variety of roles and times that people are required:
Saturday 19th November
0800-1030: Drive through registration (5)
0930-1700: Committee, line & mark boats (8)
1200-1800: Results (2)
1530-1700: Protest committee (3)
Sunday 20th November
0930-1530: Committee boat (3)
1015-1430: OOD box (1)
1230-1430: Finish boats (10)
0930-1600: Results (2)
1330-1500: Protest committee (3)
Full briefing will be given, and you will not be doing the job on your own. No experience is necessary.

Weather Station
Big thanks to Matt for getting the new weather station up and running. It’s all linked to the website now for live data, plus he’s installed screens in the bar and wet bar for quick viewing.
Open Meeting Entries
It’s the RS Aero Inland Champs this weekend and late entry will be open until Thursday evening for anyone wanting to sign up.
Entry for the Solo EOS at the end of October will close on the 24th – book your place online. Entry is for either Saturday only, or the whole weekend. The Saturday is the EOS and also day one off the Inlands that was due to be held at Grafham but was postponed due to the Queen’s passing. Day two of the Inland Champs will be the Sunday. Please note you cannot enter Sunday only. Please check the NOR for full details.
Y&J Committee
It’s the time of year when we appoint a new Y&J committee.
If you are interested in being part of this then please send us your name, age and a short personal profile by 27th October to office@draycotewater.co.uk. All applications will be looked over by the General Committee and those appointed will be announced at the AGM on 2nd November.
All members are invited to our annual Family Christmas Party on Sunday 11th December, from 2.45pm. Bring along your families, friends, neighbours etc.
We’ll have a magician/entertainer, music, bar open, mulled wine & mince pies, buffet for kids (bring a plate), before the big moment when Santa arrives by boat to bring presents for the children!
Free tickets will be available closer to the time.
