AGM 2022

Dear Member,

Our AGM will be held at the Club on Wednesday 2nd November. It is your opportunity to hear about the state of the Club from the Committee and raise questions with them (although you can also do that any day of the year!).
The meeting will commence at 7.30pm with the bar open and registration for voting starting at 7.00pm.

Paperwork
The agenda, reports, minutes of previous meetings and the consolidated accounts can be found HERE. They will not be posted out to members.
If you have any items for discussion at the AGM, or questions, the best thing is to put them in writing and send them to the office beforehand: this will allow us to give a considered response. But the Committee is very approachable and there is absolutely no need to wait till the AGM for raising issues with us.

Committee Elections
The AGM is the time when the Committee stands down and a new Committee is elected. We are expecting most, if not all, of our current Committee to continue but it is always good to welcome new members who can bring new perspectives and energy to the Committee.
If you would like to help run the Club into the future, please talk to me, Dave or another member of the Committee. It is a serious commitment but is very rewarding to do. There is a description of what the Committee does HERE. An application to stand for the Committee can be found HERE and needs to be submitted to Dave by 19th October.

Supporters’ Club
As a separate (and largely administrative) exercise, we need to hold the AGM of the Supporters’ Club (to which all social members and non-sailing family members belong). This will be held at the end of the AGM. The agenda for this meeting can be found HERE.

With best wishes
